BlackBerry SIM card for use on tour abroad?

I am looking to purchase tour BlackBerry. I saw on the Sprint website that the tour has a slot to unlock the SIM card. Can I take this phone to El Salvador and you insert a prepaid SIM card from El Salvador and the use there? and if I'm going to have any problem using the phone as you would normally here on the Sprint network? I travel to El Salvador a lot, so I think it would be great if I could just insert SIM card when it comes to his credit and a cell phone and remove the SIM card just to get here and be able to use the phone as normal in the Sprint network. please help! thanks!

No one knows exactly how it works, but I know you can get an international prepaid SIM card here now that lets you take the GSM mobile phone abroad. This will not be a victim of high roaming charges.
