Celtel Nigeria has recently announced free calls to its subscribers every Sunday. The methodology is you recharge with a minimum of N500 every week to benefit one hour free call the following Sunday. If you recharge with N1000 every week, you will benefit two hours of free call the following Sunday. However, this free call is limited to Celtel networks only.

Celtel

What is Unusual about It?
- You must recharge with at least N500 every week
- You must exhaust the N500 before the end of the week otherwise, you will not be entitled to the free call
- Other networks, like MTN is already offering its subscribers free late night calls for four hours everyday without forcing its subscribers to recharge.

Side Effects of Celtel Free Calls
- It is difficult to reach Celtel networks on Sundays; all you get is “Network Busy”
- If you managed to reach Celtel networks, the quality of the calls is bad
- If you use only Celtel networks, you may find it difficult to reach out or be reached on Sundays.

Suggestions to Celtel
- Limit free calls only to late night hours, like MTN. This will avoid congestion on the networks during the day time
- Give free calls without attaching any string to it; don’t force your subscribers to spend minimum of N500 every week to buy recharge cards in order to enjoy one hour free calls.

Bonus Airtime
However, some Celtel subscribers claimed to have received bonus air time on their phones for making the free calls. The criteria for receiving the bonus air time are not yet known.

Yesterday, 14 June, 2007, Sony Ericsson announced three distinct Bluetooth watches, the MBW-150 range (Music, Executive or Classic Edition). Select the one that fits your style and enjoy the convenience of controlling your mobile phone from your wristwatch. Created together with Fossil, a world expert in watch technology, this new range of Sony Ericsson MBW-150 Bluetooth watches is truly ahead of its time, bringing together contemporary design and cutting edge Bluetooth technology.

Live Your Life The Easy Way
When an incoming call or a text message arrives, the Bluetooth Watch MBW-150 gently vibrates on your wrist, so with a quick glance you can see the caller ID on the display. Lightly touch a button on the watch to decide whether to reject or mute the call, or take it by pressing the Answer key on your headset, car handsfree or phone. This will really sound cool to the gadget freaks.

New features make life even easier when controlling your phone through your wristwatch. Auto pairing connects the watch to your phone automatically the first time they are linked to each other so there’s no set-up routine. If you live your life looking for your phone, the Bluetooth Watch MBW-150 will help you keep hold of it, since it gives out a vibrating signal when the phone goes out of range. Finally, thanks to Sony Ericsson’s expertise with Bluetooth technology, the signal should always be robust and reliable.

All three timepieces in the MBW-150 range have a scratch-resistant mineral crystal glass face with an antiglare coating. When not using them to control your phone they look exactly like a regular watch, thanks to a discreet OLED display that’s only seen when in use. What’s more, the addition of Bluetooth™ technology does not lead to a compromise on time-keeping. A Quartz analogue precision movement, plus a digital time display that’s synchronised with your phone, make sure that you stay on track.
